Stanislaus County Probation reported an average of 60 individuals incarcerated every month for the year 2025. Of those individuals, YFC volunteers and staff had the opportunity to spread The Gospel and the Word of God with approximately 30-45 of those individuals every week for the year of 2025.
Navigate
Learning how to navigate through life on earth is difficult for a young person - especially when that life is without Jesus Christ. He commands us to go and reach out the lost in their world. This includes going into places like juvenile hall, where the youth are sometimes forgotten. By helping a teens in juvenile hall to know about life with God, they are better equipped to walk a path of rehabilitation in their community. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Relationships
Youth for Christ has been given the opportunity to teach Christian principles and values within the walls of the juvenile hall. JJM seeks to engage young people in a relational outreach. This strategy helps young people acquire and develop a way of living taught by Jesus Christ. These valued relationships are sustained through ongoing involvement as they reenter their communities. Our focus is balanced ministry that emphasizes the spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional aspects of life.

Currently, JJM is partnered with both the Stanislaus County Probation and Merced County Probation departments to facilitate holistic care for young people at the detention centers. Our five-year strategic plan includes expanding our influence into surrounding counties, including Tuolumne and Mariposa.
JJM is also focused on serving communities with the highest needs by partnering with local churches and organizations to provide safe places where young people can learn life skills, build healthy relationships, and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Through our After-Care program, we continue walking alongside youth after their release from detention, helping them navigate the challenges of returning home, reconnecting with their communities, pursuing education and employment opportunities, developing life skills, and establishing a strong support system for long-term success.
