The Board of Directors is made up of caring, concerned adults from the community. Our board provides direction, oversight, and vision for the Executive Director. The team meets monthly for prayer, ministry updates, and strategic planning.

Dave Boone, Board Chair
David grew up in Modesto and first became involved with YFC when he helped start Tapestry in South Modesto. Through his experience here he saw the influence YFC could have in a community and the blessing it is to serve others as a positive influence. David and his wife Katie have been married for 16 years and have 3 kids: Abigail, Olivia and Connor. He works as a Physician Assistant in Modesto. He enjoys coaching his kids in sports. He and his wife are active in a local church where Dave plays guitar on the worship team and serves as an elder. In his free time, Dave enjoys playing with his kids, running, swimming and travel.

Nate Miller, Vice Chair
Nate graduated from Vanguard University of Southern California in 1999 and began his career in public accounting at a firm in Southern California. Nate and his wife Ali then decided to relocate back to Modesto to be closer to family and he joined local accounting firm Grimbleby Coleman Advisors and Accountants in 2000 where he is a tax partner and CFO of the firm. He earned his CPA license in 2002 and also earned a Masters of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 2011. Nate and his wife Ali have been married for 26 years and have three children (Kate, Claire and Jack) and one amazing grandson (Bennett). Nate is involved in his local church (Rooted Modesto) and has volunteered with various other nonprofits during his 24 years at Grimbleby Coleman including United Way of Stanislaus County, Big Valley Christian School Booster Club, Modesto Chamber of Commerce & the California Society of CPAs San Joaquin Chapter.

David Warter, Secretary
David graduated from Stanford University in Chemical Engineering in 1998. After a season of professional rugby, he joined the E&J Gallo Winery in 1999 as a sales representative and later a process engineer. Davis furthered his education at the University of California to earn an MS in Viticulture and Enology in 2002 and an MBA in 2004. He transferred onto Gallo’s winemaking team after graduation and has spent the past fifteen years managing different asapects of distillation. David and his wife, Erica, have two children, Jared and Rachel. They live in Modesto and are active in their local church. He enjoys coaching and playing soccer, as well as cycling.

Tiffany Oliveira, 57, has been married to her husband for 34 years. Together they have raised five grown children and are blessed with grandchildren and even great-grandchildren. Tiffany has been an entrepreneur for most of her adult life-she started her esthetics practice 15 years ago and grew it into a thriving business, and she and her husband also own and operate a successful concrete company.
Alongside their businesses, Tiffany and her husband devote time to working with disabled adults, a role they deeply love and see as part of their calling to serve. Her heart for people, her strong faith and her belief in the power of relationships make her passionate about investing in youth. Tiffany counts it a privilege to serve on the Youth for Christ board, helping to share the hope of Christ with the next generation. |
Gina graduated from California State University, Stanislaus in 1997 and married her high school sweetheart that same year (Paul). Gina began her elementary teaching career in 1999 as a first and third grade teacher in Ceres Unified School District for 15 years. In 2014, Gina transitioned her educational support to work at the Stanislaus County Office of Education in Instructional Support Services where she has supported new teachers and their mentors as well as assisting schools and districts in educating the whole child. Gina and her husband have two amazing kids: daughter Bailey and son Hayden. Gina is currently a new board trustee for Empire Union School District, member of Soroptimist of Riverbank and attends Grace River Church in Modesto.

Johnny Garcia is the proud owner of Got It All Insurance Agency in Modesto, California, and currently serves as CEO of the Stanislaus Latino Chamber of Commerce. A dedicated husband to Adriana Garcia and father of two, Johnny takes great pride in his family—his son serves in the Navy Reserve while managing the agency’s Commercial Insurance Department and supporting Chamber initiatives, and his daughter is both studying and working at Modesto Junior College. Deeply rooted in his faith, Johnny actively serves on several local boards, embracing every opportunity to uplift his community as part of his commitment to serve others, just as God has called him to do.

Meet Eren Flood, the woman behind the heart of Hub Consulting, a talent acquisition firm which was established in 2016. Growing up as the daughter of two entrepreneurs in Agriculture and Hospitality, Eren grew up understanding the complexities of running a business and the blessing of helping others. Eren now leads the talent acquisition efforts for multiple companies within the Renewable Energy industry. When she's not running her business, she loves spending time with her three children and husband. As if life wasn't busy enough, she also makes time to serve in her church as a worship leader and children's ministry leader. Eren has a heart for serving children and spreading the Good News about Jesus, planting seeds that will blossom and further the Kingdom of God.
